WA Account launched to make finding an apprenticeship easier
A new support service has been launched to help make becoming an apprentice easier in the county.
Worcestershire Apprenticeships, a programme launched by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council, has launched the new ‘WA Account’ system to help prospective apprentices find their ideal apprenticeship in an easier way.
Currently those interested in becoming an apprentice have to engage with numerous training providers across the county and see what opportunities are available, or enquire with potential employers to find out more about their options.
WA Account simplifies this process by allowing a prospective apprentice to sign up to one system, express an interest in the sectors of specialisms that interest them, and have the training providers contact them to showcase the opportunities.
This process massively reduces the time taken to find an apprenticeship and the WA Account system is free for anyone to use.
Those aged between 16-24 who become an apprentice via use of the WA Account system could also be eligible for a £500 bursary to support them to start their career.
