From 8 to 14 February 2021

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2021 is “Build the Future” as the Government and partners encourage everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to build a workforce with future ready skills.

Employers are also being encouraged to consider apprenticeships as part of their workforce plans. Apprenticeships offer the chance for organisations to create their future workforce through developing talent within.

Within Worcestershire there are a variety of campaigns being run during the week to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships to both employers and young people.

Below you can find out more about some of the work we are doing locally.

Social Media Selfie Campaign

This year we will be returning to social media during National Apprenticeship Week to promote our Selfie campaign. The selfie campaign has been a highlight in previous years as local apprentices, employers and those working to promote apprenticeships, all take to social media to share their selfie’s to promote Apprenticeships.

In order to take part in the selfie campaign, follow the instructions on the poster below.

Employers

During National Apprenticeship Week we are highlighting some case studies from local employers who have taken on Apprenticeships and showcased how it has benefitted their business.

As part of this work we are hoping to also share new podcasts with local employers who have taken on apprentices, to share their views on how it has supported their business to grow.

All the employer case studies can be found on our website by following the link here.

We also have dedicated pages on our website which help to explain the benefits on offer for employers who take on an apprentice. You can access this page through the link here.
