So this years Worcestershire’s Apprenticeship Awards are NOW OPEN!! To celebrate the hard work of apprentices, employers and training providers, West Midlands Safari Park are hosting the 3rd event this November! I encourage anyone to get your applications in before the 30th June!

When my submission was put in last year, I didn’t expect to be short-listed, let alone win 2 awards on the night. Regardless of winning these awards, the evening is such a good night, beautiful decorations, great hosts, delicious food and made me feel incredibly proud to be involved. Worcestershire Apprenticeships is something everyone should be part of.

The awards was only just the start for me and propelled my career beyond anything I ever expected. This alone should entice anyone to think about applying! It’s been 5 months on and what a journey it has been….

– Working with the great people of Worcestershire I am helping to promote apprenticeships, not only to young professionals but also to employers. I could not thank my employer enough and the opportunities I have been given. This is honestly a mutual benefit.

– I am currently short-listed for 2 awards. Firstly, Wonderful Worcestershire Women for Young Woman in Business Award and secondly for ‘The Rising Star’ Award to The Claims Awards.

– Successfully won my first contract for TRS with one of the UK’s largest insurer for a soft launch in June (scary but exciting!). This new initiative will be an industry’s first

– Progressing other sales and business development projects. I am now becoming a regular in London (not forgetting my roots of course!) Seeing the Malvern hills and the countryside after the chaos of London, it feels like such a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

I cannot reiterate how these awards have helped and the doors that have been opened. Although it has been challenging and I am always tired, I would not change anything for the world.

Hope to see you all there on the evening 🙂 Mine’s a G&T.
